CE Week, the mid-year, Dealerscope-hosted consumer electronics trade show, has wrapped up its first day at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The show, in its 11th year, thrives on innovation as a showcase for emerging trends and building connections in the North American technology space.
From the consumer electronics retail industry, a wide variety of attendees come to see what’s hot in the current market. Visitors to the trade show include retailers, distributors, media, designers, custom installers, manufacturers, marketing representatives, and other industry professionals.
The day kicked off with the Connected Car Show, bringing together the top thought-leaders from automotive, technology, policy, research and media. The conference brought attention and awareness to changing vehicle technology trends in both the OEM and aftermarket sectors, and showcased new technologies that enhance the drive.
CE Week also included a core conference program that dove into topics like connected home, smartphones, driving customer success in retail, and important strategies for startups in the CE realm.
Today also marked the first day of The Retailer Meetups at CE Week, an event created to enable leaders from across the consumer electronics spectrum to cut through the clutter: to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships. The Retailer Meetups features pre-scheduled, one-on-one sessions between retailers, distributors, buying groups, and vendors during CE Week. Retailer attendees included b8ta, Brookstone, and eBay, among several others.
“We are thrilled to be in our new home at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, with over 70 exhibitors that showcase the latest in consumer tech products and innovation. Our first day was extremely successful, with curated industry content, cutting-edge products and attendees from all corners of the consumer electronics industry.
CE Week is establishing a foundation as a premier platform to advance relationships between buyers and sellers in CE,” said Tony Monteleone, publisher of Dealerscope.
