First Lady of New Jersey Keynote Speaker at 2019 Entrepreneur Empowerment Lunch organized by Latinas in Business Inc.
Hon. First Lady of New Jersey Tammy S. Murphy is the Keynote Speaker at the 2019 Entrepreneur Empowerment Lunch organized by Latinas in Business Inc. The event takes place at the Hudson County Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Ave, Jersey City NJ 07306 on June 13, 2019 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (Registration, breakfast and networking starts at 8:00am ). The educational institution is co-hosting the event.
Organizational leaders, celebrities, social media influencers and successful entrepreneurs are gathering for interactive discussions, peer-to peer knowledge sharing from successful Latinas and other women and men entrepreneurs “who have done it,” and for all to meet one-on-one with experts, influencers and decision-makers who can help them grow and expand their reach to new markets.
“We are extremely proud and grateful that Mrs. Murphy is supporting Latinas and other women entrepreneurs,” said Susana G Baumann. “This year theme is “Beauty, Health and Wealth: Taking Charge of Our Lives,” reflective of trillion-dollar industries. As users or providers, women are barging into the beauty and wellness industry in flocks.
They are looking for healthier choices that will help them make better decisions for themselves, their families and communities. As innovators and creators, they are also disrupting these very competitive industries with their own products and services,” Baumann explained .
Other distinguished speakers are Hester Agudosi, Esq, Chief Diversity Officer at the NJ Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Dr Chris M. Reber, President, Hudson County Community College, and Jersey City Council Ward E James Solomon.
Celebrity speakers such as Cenia Paredes, founder of Cenia New York, as well as Ivana De Maria, actress, TV writer and producer, women’s advocate and creator of StoryPlace, and award-winning, TV producer and Master of Ceremony Jackeline Cacho are also supporting the event.
In addition, organizational leaders, influencers and entrepreneurs from around the country are converging in Jersey City to produce the most dynamic event for Latinas and other minority women and men entrepreneurs in the Northeast region.
It was a great event, close to 200 Latina Business Women from as far as Los Angeles attended in seminars, talks and panels, there was a good amount of vendors showcasing their products, opening remarks were made by Susana G. Baumann , President and CEO , Latinas in Business inc, who introduced Dr.Chris M Reber , President ,Hudson County Community College and Co-host of the event, next was Hester Agudoshi ,Esq, Chief Diversity officer, NJ office of Diversity and Inclusion. Celebrity Speaker was Cenia Paredas, Fashion Designer and founder ,Cenia New York , Fireside chats hosted by Emmy nominated Journalist and Producer, Jackeline Cacho, special award “Small Business Champion” was presented to mayor Wilda Diaz,city of Perth Amboy.
There were many panels one can participate, by many highly professional Latina Business Woman, who shared their experiences about their success and failures in business’s .Some of the panels that took place were: Win The Marketing Battle: Get your foot in the door with major buyers. Strategies and Technology: Grow your business to the next level.
After the event we headed to Latina meet up event, in the village area, where close to 300 Latina business woman were in attendance , This free event will serve as a conduit for Latina professionals to network, break barriers and celebrate each other’s accomplishments while enjoying a party, tequila tastings and professional head shots.
The evening will kick off with a celebration of Power Latina honorees including NYC-based Colombian entrepreneur and women in tech advocate, Rocio B. Casas and President of the New York City LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, Rev. Carmen Hernandez.
Following the introductions, attendees will experience an exclusive tasting of El Mayor Tequilas by Tequila Boss Graciela González the daughter of fourth-generation Master Distiller Rodolfo González. Additionally attendees will be treated to the Ford Power Latina Lounge, a technology-driven immersive experience.
