The Specialty Food Association today announced that Turkey will be the partner country for this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest marketplace for specialty food in North America, taking place June 25 – 27, 2017 in New York City.
The participation of Turkey at Summer Fancy Food Show is organized by Aegean Exporters’ Associations who, for 20 years, have promoted high quality Turkish food products in the US market.
The Mission of the SFA’s Lifetime Achievement Award is “to identify and celebrate the actions and special qualities of those persons widely recognized as having grown the industry, improved the Association, inspired companies and nurtured individuals.”
The 2017 Winners are: Harold and Lorie Alexander, Kopper’s Chocolate, Ted Koryn, Liberty Foods,Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig, Zingerman’s Community of Businesses,Jerry Santucci, Santucci Associates Inc and Winston Stona, Busha Browne Company.
The Specialty Food Association (SFA) is pleased to announce the Buyer Panel: Selling Specialty Super Session to be offered at the Summer Fancy Food Show on June 26, 2017. The session, moderated by Phil Lempert, known as “The Supermarket Guru,” will feature a panel of leading U.S. buyers from multiple channels discussing consumer disruptions to traditional retail.
The panel will explore various emerging and transitioning channels – e-commerce, natural food, specialty, supermarket – with Lempert leading the conversation on the changing specialty food landscape, what’s driving sales in different channels, trending consumer patterns, and what it will take to sell in the future.
The Specialty Food Association (SFA) will celebrate 65 years at the leading edge of food with LevelUP, a new, immersive experience debuting at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City (June 25-27). LevelUP will showcase global food innovations, premier industry research, and the future of food and commerce.
The Specialty Food Association has been presenting sofi Awards since 1972, celebrating culinary excellence and creativity worldwide through recognizing the outstanding work of its members. The 2017 winners include a wide range of great foods, from mouthwatering sauces to delectable desserts to savory snacks. Winners were chosen from 3,000 entries in a blind tasting by a national panel of culinary experts.
In all, the 2017 sofi Awards honor 154 winners with Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Best New Product recognition in 39 categories. This year, for the first time in the 45-year history of the awards, a sofi Product of the Year will be named. This award will be announced at the 2017 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City in June.
