Shawn Porter is an American professional boxer who held the IBF welterweight title from 2013 to 2014. He is known for his aggressive pressure fighting style, physical strength and high workrate. As of October 2017, Porter is ranked the world’s third best welterweight by The Ring.
On September 28, ESPN reported that Porter would fight again before the end of the year on the Wilder vs. Ortiz undercard on November 4 at the Barclays Center in New York City against 28 year old Adrían Granados (18-5-2, 12 KOs) in a 10-round bout. Porter praised Granados ahead of the fight, “Against Granados I’m getting into the ring with someone who is very established as an amateur and a professional has great skills and isn’t going to go in there and lay down. That’s always going to bring out the best in me.
